Terms of Service
Last updated: May 20, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of SynKennik, an adaptive language-learning service provided by SynKennik, Inc. (“SynKennik,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, subscribing, or using SynKennik, you agree to these Terms.
Please also review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect and use information.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use SynKennik. You are responsible for the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity under your account. If you use Google, GitHub, or another third-party sign-in method, your use of that service is also governed by its terms.
2. The Service
SynKennik creates personalized language-learning courses, modules, lessons, assessments, translations, and practice materials based on your profile, goals, answers, and learning activity. Some content is generated or assisted by artificial intelligence.
AI-generated content can be incomplete, incorrect, or unsuitable for a specific context. SynKennik is intended for learning and practice, not as professional, academic, legal, medical, immigration, or other expert advice. We do not guarantee any particular learning outcome, proficiency level, credential, or result.
3. Your Content
You may provide information such as your language background, learning goals, course requests, exercise answers, feedback, and reports (“Your Content”). You keep any rights you have in Your Content, but you grant SynKennik a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, host, process, reproduce, modify, and display Your Content as needed to operate, personalize, improve, protect, and support the service.
Do not submit content that you do not have the right to use, that violates someone else’s rights, or that contains sensitive personal information not needed for language learning.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use SynKennik for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or deceptive activity.
- Interfere with, overload, scrape, crawl, or reverse engineer the service.
- Try to bypass usage limits, billing gates, security measures, or access controls.
- Share, sell, or transfer your account without our permission.
- Use SynKennik to create or distribute content that infringes rights, promotes harm, or violates applicable law.
5. SynKennik Content and IP
SynKennik and its software, design, branding, systems, and other materials are owned by SynKennik, Inc. or its licensors. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use SynKennik for your own learning.
Lessons and other generated materials may not be unique to you and may be similar to content generated for others. You may use generated learning materials for your personal study, but you may not resell, republish, or use them to build a competing service without our permission.
6. Plans, Tokens, and Payments
SynKennik may offer free trials, paid subscriptions, and pay-as-you-go token packs. Current in-app limits include a free trial with limited course and lesson usage, a monthly subscription with a monthly token grant and course cap, and optional token packs that may be available to active subscribers after monthly tokens are used.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can manage or cancel your subscription through the billing portal made available in your account. If you cancel, your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated. Payments are processed by Stripe and may also be subject to Stripe’s terms.
Prices, quotas, token costs, and plan features may change, but checkout and in-app billing screens will show the applicable terms for a purchase. Refunds are not guaranteed, but we may consider them case by case and will provide any refund required by law.
7. Availability and Changes
SynKennik is an early-stage service and may change frequently. We may add, modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue features or access to the service at any time, including to maintain security, comply with law, prevent abuse, or improve the product.
8. Account Termination
You may stop using SynKennik at any time and may delete your account through available account settings. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for other users or the service, fail to pay amounts due, or use the service unlawfully. Cancellation of a paid plan does not automatically delete your account.
9. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SynKennik is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SynKennik, Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service or these Terms will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid SynKennik in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SynKennik, Inc. from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from your misuse of the service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Delaware will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the service, except where applicable law requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, you agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting us.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you, such as by posting an updated version or providing notice in the service. Your continued use of SynKennik after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Contact
